Re: Ten Things Thursday
1. We adopted a new kitty on Saturday
we got him from the humane society and he is black and white and 2 years old.
2. We named him Paco and he is doing really well with our dog and with LO.
3. Ava Nichol is getting a sedated MRI tomorrow and I am starting to get anxious about it.
4. We are going to get Ava Nichol a fuzzy blankie (her favorite blankie) for her to wake up from her MRI with.
5. We still haven't told certain members of DH's family about everything that happened with Ava Nichol and her seizures. It makes me uncomfortable but it was DH's decision.
6. The weather has been crappy and we haven't been able to get outside in two weeks. It sucks.
7. Ava Nichol has learned to spin and to stomp and now she does them at the same time while dancing. Too cute!
8. I have pictures picked out and scrapbooking stuff bought but I have no idea when I will have time to scrapbook.
9. We need to go grocery shopping but I don't want to and I don't feel like spending the money yet. Maybe we can stretch it out until next week since we have plenty of toddler food.
10. I am hungry but too lazy to make myself anything. Ugh. Hunger will win eventually.

I only have two things this week.
1. We're leaving for the ocean today! We haven't been on a vacation in a year now, so were overdue. I'm so excited!
2. We finished painting Adalyn's room and I love it! Before picture on the right, after picture on the left. Now Im just slowly setting it up.
1. Miranda is currently cutting 3 teeth, 2 of them are molars. Poor girl!
2. We're having bacon cheeseburgers for dinner. I'm very excited about this for some reason!
3. We're in the process of remodeling our bathroom and it's going to be more work than we thought it would be. Why can't anything ever be easy?
4. I went to a baby shower on April 14 and still haven't received a thank you note. This irks me.
5. Our power was out for about 2 hours overnight. It stormed earlier in the evening but it wasn't even raining when the power went out. I have no clue what was going on.
6. I let Miranda play with dried beans this morning. She loved it and didn't make too much of a mess!
Wiggy I'll be thinking of you and Ava Nichol tomorrow. I'm sure shell do just fine, and I hope you get some answers.
Also, how exciting to add a new little member to your family. I love the name.

Waterfall bacon cheeseburgers sound so good now!
Also I hope those teeth come in soon so M can get some relief.
1. I'm home sick from work today, I thought I had pink eye but it's just really bad allergies.
2. I found out I can still take my allergy meds, I hadn't taken them for 6 days - which is probably why I'm home sick today.
3. My Chinese food just made me feel all icky.
4. I'm really nervous for my first u/s on June 4th, I haven't had many symptoms and I keep thinking that something is wrong, even though I know better.
5. I called my insurance company today and found out they cover all of my prenatal visits, that was exciting.
6. We're having a BBQ at our house on Monday, I'm super stoked.
7. I'm going to the races (sprint cars) with my dad Sunday night. I'm really hoping I don't spill the baby news! I tell him everything!
8. It's bazaar season! That means weekends full of fireworks, carnival food and seeing friends! (A bazaar is a carnival with a beer tent, I think it's a northeastern pa thing.)
9. I'm watching The Chew and I've decided I need to have coffee with Clinton Kelly.
10. I'm making chicken and broccoli pizza for dinner.
Ashley - Sorry about your allergies, I hope you feel better soon!
And definitely don't worry about the symptoms. I only had minor food aversions and fatigue around that time. It's normal, but I know how you feel. It's hard not to over analyze until you've seen proof that there's a healthy baby in there. June 4th will be here before you know it, and Im sure you'll feel much better once you see him/her on the screen.
Madeline - So excited to hear how your birthday goes.
Also, I don't think I could justify spending that much to go to a wedding either, and Im sure she will understand.
1. Lucy's birthday was lots of fun yesterday, I'm so glad she loves her present.
2. I'm a little sad that she's refusing to really dive into any cake. She loves to eat it but isn't a fan of getting it on her hands. We've tried twice now (once for pictures, once for her actual birthday) and for a girl who likes to squish bananas I just don't get it.
3. I have a TON of work left to do for her party on Saturday.
4. My dad is flying in tomorrow and I'm so excited.
5. My sister has been here since Sunday and I love getting pictures & videos of Lucy during the day while she's home with her auntie.
6. We're going to a baseball game on Sunday and I'm pretty indifferent about it, but it should be a pretty fun day.
7. I typed something here that was a bit more personal than I'd like to share, so I deleted it.
8. There's going to be a 170 lb tortoise at L's birthday party and I'm envisioning babies riding him.
9. I ate 2 donuts today and they were delicious, but not helping me lose weight.
10. Don't mind my messy house
and a giant professional one
1. I started out the week upset because my fasting blood sugar was higher than they want, but they changed my diet and things have been good so far, so I am hoping that it stays that way.
2. I have been pretty emotional about my ob planning to induce and or c section, but I am trying hard to be ok with it.
3. I am really looking forward to this three day weekend. I hope dh and I get a lot done and we can relax and have fun.
4. I went on to update my registry yesterday and people have bought things already. I am assuming for my shower on June 15 th. that is pretty exciting.
5. Typical MIL wants to "dibs" buying us the stroller, but doesn't want to buy us the stroller we want, wants to buy us a used BOB instead. I still don't know what to do about this.
6. My grandma is apparently upset about the name we picked, nothing to do about this one, but hope she comes around. I am glad we told her ahead of time though so she wasn't upset when she learned about it. I would hate for it to ruin a special moment.
7. I have been so tired lately. Nothing really I can do to shake it.
8. I have only gained about 15 to 20 lbs this pg, but with my new diagnosis, they don't want me to gain anymore. I weighed myself this morning and I think I have gained two pounds. I don't know how I did it since I have been following the diet religiously.
9. I have an ultrasound next week to measure the baby and I am afraid they are going to tell me he is huge.
10. I can wait to be done being pg that I am counting down the weeks. I feel guilty, because I should be thankful.
When you've been married this long, you need a ticker to remind you.

sgautschi (now I can't remember how to spell it...): I looove your nursery walls!
My ten things:
1. I am absolutely exhausted.
2. We're moving in with my parents this weekend and I'm looking forward to it!
3. We still have a ton of packing to do, but we've already done a lot and just don't have the motivation to do anymore tonight.
4. I'm a teacher and am getting observed by the principal tomorrow. Even though I know I have nothing to worry about, I still get incredibly nervous.
5. I tried rice pasta for the first time today and liked it.
6. I really wish we'd have a good thunderstorm right now.
7. I'm trying to resist the urge to start a baby registry.
8. I'm ridiculously excited about reaching 5 weeks tomorrow and being able to say our baby is the size of an appleseed (still excited about the fact that we can say "our baby"!).
9. I could really go for some fruit salad right now.
10. I've yawned about 5 thousand times today.

10. When does 3rd trimester start? If I'm 24 weeks today, doesn't that make me 6 months?
11. My eyes hurt really bad!
You will get different weeks depending on who you ask :-)
The way I figure it, there are 40 weeks. 13.33 weeks per trimester, so third trimester is at 26.66 weeks. This is JMO of course.

I am scared to think that I'm 6 months pregnant. In a few days ill be in the single digits and in 2 weeks, 6 days I'll be in 3rd tri.. Holy cow! how did this happen so fast! O_o
